Intel Pro/Wireless 2100 3B Problem - fails to reconnect after standby/hibernation.

Hello...newbie alert!! Please be nice.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with my wireless mini PCI adaptor.

It's a Intel Pro/Wireless 2100 3B adaptor. Everything works perfectly, but when I put the system into standby or hibernation, the radio on the device switches off and does not reconnect.
Nothing can be done to solve this, unless i reboot and we are back to square one.

I know this is a known fault with this adaptor and apparently the lastest drivers fix this (i.e. Driver 1.2.4.35 & PROSet 7.1.4.5).
**I HAVE DOWNLOADED THESE AND THEY DONT WORK FOR ME**
I have uninstalled prior to reinstalling.

Does anyone know of a solution??

Thanks
sTeve

What do you mean they don't work for you? They don't install or they didn't solve your problem?

Did you try using this tool to identify which adaptor you have? Chances are, if your card is an OEM, you'l have to go to the manufacturer's site to get updated drivers.

Dunno why this image comes to mind when you make such statements.

Sorry for being a pain but after installing the updated drivers/software, i still have the problem.

The card is a:
Intel Pro/Wireless 2100 3B Mini PCI Adaptor

The laptop is built by myself from a AOPen 1557GLS barebones kit.

The adaptor bought from eBay....it is an OEM but a proper Intel one, not Toshiba marked etc...

If the Intel driver does not function, then it requires an OEM driver from whomever the OEM is. Find out that, and you find your driver.
