Linksys G card with Windows 2000
I recently purchased the Linksys G card and downloaded Netstumbler hoping to verify access points. My wireless card works fine, however, when I try to run Netstumbler it tells me no wireless cards available. It seems that windows 2000 installs the wireless card as a network interface and not a wireless interface. According to the boards the Linksys G card works with Netstumbler 4.0. Any help would be appreciated with the setup so I can use netstumbler.

Buy a properly supported card, and upgrade to an OS that is supported, and you shouldn't have any issues.

Select the Linksys card in the Device menu.
The Linksys card MAY work on your PC using the NDIS 5.1 drivers, but it is not fully supported

Might want to rephrase that, AFTER you've read and searched some more.

COMPATIBILITY means someone got NS to work with that particular card and their particular computer. It does not imply that SNR works. In fact, it will not. There are many cards that are compatible but that really doesn't mean much. Your card is likely compatible (given someone else's specific hardware) but not supported.
