List of 802.11x products which use POE natively?
Does anyone have a list of POE devices? If not, let's make one!
I've heard of a few WiFi access points and bridges and such which support power over ethernet without having to seperate the power lines on the hardware side. However, my sources were so distant and varied that I don't remember a single one. It would help make purchasing decisions in my case. I'm even wondering if some of my current hardware might support it! ![]() |

Thnx! I only have a little to add...
They use Intermec 2101 acces point here at work, and they use Intermec POE injectors... and demuxors. Therefore these APs are not natively POE ![]() Last edited by CZroe : 03-09-2003 at 06:44 PM. |

Thnx!
USR 802.11b bridging products also use POE. Edit: And Tom's Hardware's review of the Linksys WAP54G state: "Further exploration revealed that the Ethernet connector is wired for Power Over Ethernet operation, although Linksys is not spec-ing the feature at this time."
