List with working wlan cards.

hi

ok stop thinking about flaming me, plz :-)

i just want to build up a list with names of cards that works with netstumbler and what OS they need to run with NS.

feel free to help me!

here are what i´ve tested (with NS 0.3.23):

Elsa AirLancer MC-11
working under Windows ME, XP and 2000

Elsa Vianect MC-11
working under Windows XP
not working under Windows ME

Hi,
Buffalo WLI-PCM-L11 works under W2K with the Orinoco or Wildpackets Lucent driver - Does NOT work with the 'native' Buffalo driver.

The Siemens SpeedStream 1021 will not work with NetStumber. It has 128 bit encryption, no external port. I'm not sure what chipset it has.

That was supposed to be no external antenna port.

How about also listing which cards work with the other popular software, ie NAI, Wildpackets.
You already know the orinoco gold (which I have) works well under xp, but it does take some work to make it work under wildpacket software.

LeArtery LN101 SyncbyAir does NOT work in Win98 machine in which Orinoco gold works well.

Oh, boy. Where do I begin?

I have used Cabletron and Orinoco Silvers (same card, different name) under:

Pocket PC 2002 (Ministumbler - IPaq)
Win95 - Enterasys driver, Cabletron driver
Win98 - Enterasys driver, Lucent driver
Win2K - Enterasys driver
Win XP - Native driver

There are too many platforms to mention, but suffice it to say that I have yet to see it NOT work with those cards, even on a Win95 tablet PC (Fujitsu), it works just fine.
