Looking for Driver for CM9 minipci card
I recently bought a couple of CM9 minipci cards. They work like a treat under FreeBSD 5.4 but my problem arises when trying to use Windows 2003 Server. None of the drivers I can find seem to work properly under 2003. And definately none of the Atheros Client Utility versions I have tried have done anything.
The card is a 802.11a/b/g minipci card based on the Atheros 5004x chipset. I was hoping that it was going to be a matter of swapping out the old card (another atheros based card - but only 802.11b/g - and not 100mw like the cm9) - but alas that didn't quite go to plan. So has anyone got a working driver / utility for Windows 2003?? I would really like to keep using this card as it is heaps better than the one it replaced. |

I doubt you're going to find anything that's going to work under Win2k3 Server. I don't think there's a real big market for running wireless servers.

Tried google - not much luck
Tried that driver too - although there is a Window2003Server listed in the setup.ini file the setup doesn't run properly (installs the icon for the util - but no files for the util) I might have actually found one that does work though... Using the older HP/Compaq W500 driver (sp28088.exe) and the new client (sp30092.exe) I am getting the options etc in the client. So at least I can configure some of the settings. I'm not too sure of the stability yet though. Trying the old driver / old client didn't work. New driver / New Client didn't work. So at least I have gotten somewhere. |
