I say just keep on trying with different switches. I couldn't get my Silver card to write with the -vb switch, always would give me Status Command Not Signaled error. Also, I'm not sure if your reading the PDA, booting back to Windows to edit the file then restart the computer in DOS mode again to write but that never worked for me. I had to use the DOS edit command and stay in DOS mode for the entire process for it to work. Just a thought.

Can someone post the xx values for a dell trumobile card? Even better, can someone private message me with their dell pda file. I want to figure out where the mac address is stored. I know I should have backed it up. Just so everyone learns from my mistake. Don't try deleting the xx values in a attempt to trick your card into thinking its an regular orinoco card.
6 109 xx3 3 2b 0 0 By the way. I don't think the cards are locked. Whe I tried to write with my compaq notebook it failed. I borrowed a sony viao and it worked like a charm. |

yes they are. i had some trouble with airsnort with the new firmware. I was trying to downgrade. I thought that if i removed the xx values my card would think it was a oringal orinoco making it easier to change firmware in future. Is there any way you can get a dump of your PDA? This is a brand new card. I would hate for it to go to waste. Try the -legacy switch. I got that to dump my pda using the compaq notebook. It just refused to write using it though. I had to go to a sony viao. I think it might be the pcmcia chipset TI (compaq) vs Ricoh (sony)

However, im sceptical as to whether that would work because the Dell card is a different variant. Btw couldnt you guess the 'xx' values? |
