Mag Mount w/ N connector?

Howdy, all.
Recently got a 7.5 dBi external antenna:
http://www.hyperlinktech.com/html/products/hg2407u.html

It makes a world of difference for war-driving, and with a backpack, it works great for war-pedaling too. But what would make it *really* great, is if I could mag-mount it to my roof when driving. Anyone here using a mag mount with an N connector? Any suggestions for rigging one up?
Thanks.

Mag Mount

I got the 3.5db antenna from HyperLink.

How is your antenna setup? Mine has a standard NMO style mount at the bottom that feeds coax with an N connector. I can place the antenna on an NMO Mag Mount and then adapt the UHF connector to an N for the cable into my card. Works great!!!

Let me know how your antenna is setup and I may be able to offer a suggestion.

Right now, I'm using an Avaya card (new Lucent/Orinoco/Wavelan clone) with the 1.5 meter pigtail out of it terminating in an N female end. The 7.5 dBi antenna from Hyperlink has a built in N male termination. Like a 18" screw-on aluminum stick, so it just screws onto the cable. I've been wedging it between car seats when I'm driving, or putting it in a water-bottle pocket in my backpack when I pedal.

I actually found a place in Plano, TX that sells a mag mount base for N connector antennae to screw onto. It's made by Diamond Antenna; DPK4NM-M and costs ~ $45. Cushcraft makes one too; Cushcraft CS-MGN.

I ordered the base from Plano, and should see it early next week.

Mobile Mark makes a magnetic mount antenna including cable. The Wirelessguys.com stock them.

HM & Wolfram: Mounting & Antennas

HM
Are you talking about the one I got or the one Wolfram Tungsten got?

Wolfram
What was the name of the place? (Texas Towers) I live in Plano. That sounds like it will work great. Will the Mag mount terminate with an N Male or will you have to get an adapter? I have to adapt mine.

Texas Towers in Plano is it! They probably have one more in stock.
Just got mine today, works great.
The mag-mount itself has an N-female connector on the base, and the feed-line terminates in an N-male.

Wireless PCMCIA Antennas

How do you know if the PCMCIA wireless cards are able to support external antennas? I just ordered the Aironet 340 and Lucent Orinoco God cards and the spec sheets do not mention external antenna capabilities....... Is there some sort of adapter for this application? Do all cards have this capability?

Thanks for any input!
