My Agere AP-200 is in!
The new "el-cheapo" version. I'm just leaving some observations here for reference. If you don't care about specs of access points, you can stop reading now.
I'm just gonna write the what I see in here instead of actually taking a picture (damn digital camera sucks, it cant pick up the chip labelling.) There is an Orinoco gold inside the casing, The PCMCIA card seems to be more open (and probably better signal) on the side that does not have the Orinocotm label. The Printed circuit board is on the side with Orinoco label. There are two Micron 7.5ns C revision rated chips onboard MT48LC4M16A2 The main processor is an IDT 79RC32V332 - 150DH ZB0211P SCD7169 with what appears to be a 75.000 clock generator, there are two clock generators each 25.000Y and two vs148aec4 dp83815dvng which seem to be running the two ethernet ports. I have already swapped out the Gold card with a Silver card, no harm done, but I haven't done any research into seeing if it can convert a silver to gold *crosses fingers* It uses a 9 volt adapter running at 1.1Amps. And yeah I love ripping things apart just to see what makes it tick ![]() |
