Unhappy My Orinoco classic gold died

After a long tour of duty, the card will no longer detect AP's, nor associate when given the particulars. This is a very sad day, considering it hasn't [recently] endured any physical abuse, and isn't specific to one computer.

Now I only have my Senao 200mW to console me.

My sympathies (What the hell am I saying???) Uh, not to appear too uncaring about the dearly departed, but there are replacements on ebay.

I have one that does the same thing. The PC says everything is fine. I get green lights on it. I'm able to update the FW on it. But it will not detect AP's.

;(

proxim is very cool w/ warranty service (at least in the past)...
i broke off the antenna on one of my cards and even though i admitted it was abuse, they wanted to repair it for free anyway.

Funny... I don't remember ever seeing how long my warranty was. I could've sworn I bought this card in 2002, but I couldn't remember if my life depended on it.

maybe i just got lucky and got a friendly tech ...
they didn't care how old the card was even though i said it was probably out of warranty and didn't ask for any proof of when i purchased it.

Well, I talked to a guy over at proxim yesterday, and after doing some basic troubleshooting stuff, he set me up for an RMA. Very cool.
