Mystery card.
I have a PPC 2003 device, with the manufacturers drivers installed, and it does'nt work with Ministumbler.
My question is this, Since LEAP is an authentication option, and I don't recall Cisco licensing LEAP, then it most likely is a cisco radio, but does anyone know of a CF Cisco radio being produced, and if so what models? |

Cisco Doesn't make CF Wi-fi Cards.
However I think some of their cards are based off of the Athros Chipset and there are many other companies that use it... And a little searching at google turned up this LINK And This quote over at Wi-fiplanet.com: Cisco is freely licensing its wireless LAN security suite, which includes LEAP, to many chipset and radio card manufacturers. Many feel this move might undercut the work of the 802.11i working group efforts. Because not all 802.11 products support LEAP, though, you run into interoperability issues in a mixed vendor environment (e.g., public wireless LANs).

Thanks fot he info, whe I get home on Tuesday I will take a look at that link.
I have been able to determine that the CF card is an aActiontec, but still waiitng to get a model number. At this point I know; It's definitly a CF card It is made by Actiontech It appears to be a Prism card based on the driver (Prismnds1) And it "may" be a combo 802.11/Bluetooth, but not sure atm. Getting closer. |
