N Type used for Pringles...

Is the N Female connector used for the Pringles connector, a:

- N Female Panel Mount

or is it...

- N Female Crimp Connector for LMR-400

If you used something else, please detail model, etc...

panel mount. you want the female end to screw in your N male from the pigtail. the other end takes the 1/4 wavelength probe.

if your pigtail has something different on the end substitute accordingly.

you can use anything metal...although i believe lower resistance is better, so copper is better than aluminum, for instance. thick wire like what you use for house wiring is good, but a coat hanger is ok too. just make sure you get a good electrical contact w/ the N jack. search the forums for "pringles" there are plenty of websites out there w/ the details.

I used an N Female panel mount on my pringles can (bought from fab-corp).

1/4 wavelength probe... is that the thing that was soldered onto the n-female? If so, I used a piece of copper ground wire. I didnt have any spare electrical wire laying around so when I was at home depot, i had the guy cut me off about 1 ft and he just wrote it off as scrap since i said i only needed like a few inches (just in case :P) so I got that for free

I was originally gonna hot glue it on b/c the one i got didnt have a nut or anything, but i wanted to make a few other styles of antenna without buying more n-connectors so......
i used plain everyday scotch tape. no sh!t. to be honest, it sticks to the pringles can great! (peels off the label some when removed). It didnt take a lot either and holds very strong.
