Need hardware suggestions for new card
Hi to all...just because I had no luck with my integrated mini-pci card in my laptop, I'd like to buy a new card, and I need some suggestions.
Please first read this thread .
Ok so..if no suggestions for the PrismGt-bast*** card I'd like to have some suggestions for a new one I'm going to buy!!
I'd like to have these functionalities:
-long rage...>=200mW OR >=21dBm (if I understood something...it's almost the same - I saw NL-3054CB3 data sheet - right?)
-able to work in 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11g super(108mbps-better if 125 but I think I'd be looking for something that does not exist )
-that has a chip possibly working with almost a windows sniffer or (better!!) kismet on linux(I tried auditor and it rocks-with another mini-pci card which I must return to the owner soon!..).
I saw the "NL-5354 CB PLUS Aries2 (F)" but:
-support says it's 80mW...but it's 21dBm..so near the old 200mW cards
-not sure if last atheros 5213 chip is supported in Linux (or a Win sniffer)..watch here
-better if it's not so expensive like this...I live in Italy and I should import it
