Netgear

I have a Netgear ma401 wireless card, I didn't see it in the list of cards that work, nor did I catch it in the list of cards that don't. However, when I start up Netstumbler I get the little message at the bottom that says "no wireless card has been detected."
Does anyone know if this card works, or if I'm making some sort of other mistake?

Thanks

Your Netgear ma401 is a Prism][ chipset card, and thus is not currently compatible with Netstumbler Version: 0.3.23.

NetStumbler currently supports Hermes chipset cards such as the ORiNOCO Gold. Search around the board for further answers to your questions

Just a passing observation - is it really necessary to quote the previous post when replying to it? In the case above I would have thought not - but that's just my opinion.

Often when replying it is possible that there are many ppl replying at the same time. Replying directly to the user as you have, I assumed to myself, could appear as if you had been replying to someone else... Think of it in the terms of TCP versus UDP... Personally I rather create the understanding that the intended recepient of my reply is fully negotiated and understood... Also sometimes I like to highlight which parts of their comments I am replying to.

I am interested as to why this would concern you at all If this was a newgroup or something of the sort, I could understand the vital mention of bandwidth usage, and the wasting of replying... but this isn't.. this is a board on a machine with its own dedicated address, not for mass consumption, but for a specialized group.
