Netgear USB Wi-Fi Dongle
http://tinyurl.com/eh59
Sorry if this isn't new to the forum. Being netgear, I'm sure it's not NS compatible...but I can't seem to find the chipset info at netgear.com. Gonna do some more digging. Anyone have experience with this device? Looks real cool. <blackhat> man, can you imagine what you could do if you stuck one of these on some computer-illiterate users system? it would be easily concealed in the right enviroment. I supposed this isn't new with the USB wlan nic's, but this one is so TINY! find a workstation under a desk...just find the airhead secretary's system, plug it in....</blackhat> Sorry, my evil half took over for a sec there. SCARY stuff...

Well, I picked one up at the local circuit sh^H^Hcity. It's nice and slick, but so far I am not impressed with the performance...working out bugs that are probably mostly related to the netgear user interface conflicting with XP's desire to handle WIFI, plus operator error in said environment...
I have a D-LINK Di614+ that works pretty well. It 'sang' when using the Aironet 350 card I had from work, but it's a kind of shitty link with my Dell Truemobile (flashed with ORiNOCO firmware). But it's pretty and silver and comes with a nice 3' extension cable. Netgear has an updated driver version on their site...knowing them, this is a necessity. More to come.
