new Antenna made signal worst
Just receive the antenna that I ordered from hyperlinktech.com which is the
HyperGain« Range Extender 8 dBi ôRange Doublerö Omni Antenna w/ MC Card ConnectorRE09U-MC Plugged it in my orinoco gold card and drove around with it and ended up picking up nothing. But when I took off the antenna infront of a hotel with wayport access I instantly picked up the ap. Anybody here had experience with this antenna? Even at home the antenna didn't change the signal/noise meter. Can you guys help me out here. Do I have to do something other than plugging that antenna to that tiny hole in the card. I emailed the tech support already and told them about the problem. thx for any help. by the way I drive a 93 acura integra hatchback I sticked the antenna at the edge of the sunroof. Once you start cranking up the gain on an omni, the actual gain of the antenna flattens out, so you won't receive much either above or below the signal cone (not sure on that term).
I've attached a 14.5db gain omni, and it goes out, but not up very far...which may be the cause of your problems.
