New D-Link Airplus drivers & firmwares

The swedish official dlink site (www.dlink.se) is making alot of buzz about the new drivers & firmwares for all airplus products (dwl-650+, DWL-900+ and so on) making them 4X faster than normal 802.11b products.

I've tried them and only gets a decrease in bandwidth (goes like a rollercoaster instead of a nice line).

The new version for DWL-650+ is v3.01
The new version for DWL-900+ is v2.52

Also the dlink-utility (where you see quality, rate, set WEP, channels etc) does not work anymore.

Nice is that netstumbler works and also reports signal/noise.

Anyone tried them?
