It's nothing new... It's been around for a while..

The German company is just reselling the devices, which are made by Digi
(As in the Modem boards)

But for 100 Eur the price ain't that bad..

Problem is, just what the #@^@ are you supposed to do with it...

8 megs of ram.. a nice LRP kernel?

actually I have been trying to find the manufacture a specific mboard. This one supports up to a 400 mhz cpu, has 2 sdram slots (512 meg tops) but has 2 disk-chip IC sockets and they can be bootable. Those disk on a chip deals I have seen them 10 -20 gigs tops... and the mboard has onboard nic 1 pcmcia slot and I think 2 pci slots.

all this on a VERY small (read about 8 inches square) device, can make for some interesting wifi servers for coffee houses. virtually no moving parts, low heat, small in size, would be fun to tinnker with

An RJ45 socket that can forward all data passed through it to an external server? Sounds pretty nifty to me.
