(NOOB) Dish Network Antenna?
I have an old "Dish-Network 500" dish on my roof that belonged to the previous owner of my house at one time. I am wondering if anyone has attempted to turn one of these into a Parabolic home base antenna? I am sure it has been attempted, but a search I did turned up very little information on this subject.
I am very new to this stumbling stuff, but it is all very interesting to me. If anyone has some information for me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Search the forums for 'dish antenna' a little bit harder.
It's been discussed several times, with links posted to designs and successful implementations. Check the Antenna FAQ's and FAU's.

Search here and the web for "Primestar" Most of these antenna designs are based on Primestar dishes, since they have been the most readily available.
