Old cable Specification

I have stumbled across a fair quantity of older 50ohm cable, but can find any reference to it on the net.

So, if any of you have any old books laying around I would appreciate some help.

COMM/SCOPE NETWORK CABLE 3250 E82833 75C 12 AWG (UL) TYPE CL2 ETHERNET SHIELDED IEEE 802.3

I know it is old thicknet cable (Anyone want to buy some vampire taps), but is it of any use for an antenna feed? Or should I just send it to the recycler?

What I know: Diddley Squat!

Thanks
KaZig

10-base5 actually, but lets not quibble.

Too much PVC and shielding for easy recycling, Time for some sculpture making.

Maybe you can find some business that still uses thicknet and convince them that they need to replace theirs with yours.

You can use it for runs less than 12 inches or use it for building a coax collinear antenna. Otherwise, recycle it.

It makes a pretty green flame when it starts on fire, or you can use it for a trip wire for the landmine in your back yard.

There are number of links, mostly copies from guerilla.net. This link has lots of good pictures:

Tried that, but it won't stay bent. Kept straightening out and falling from the branch
