Orinoco Card on a Win 2000 Server?

I am currently using an Orinoco Ethernet Converter with a silver on my Win 2K Server. Due to the speed limitations of the Ethernet Converter, I would like use a PCI to PCMCIA adapter. I have heard mixed information about wether these things work on Windows 2000 Server.

Can anyone confirm that yes it does work or give some information?

Server Motherboard and OS Revisions:

Tyan Tiger 200T Motherboard
Windows 2000 Server SP 3

Thanks.

The predominate problem with any PCI/PCMCIA adapter seems to the the chipset. The ones that everyone agrees work with all wireless devices are based on the Ricoh chipset. I don't recall W2000 Server being mentioned, but search on "Ricoh" for some threads which go into this in detail.

Before I posted about this I found this:

3.1 Wireless Adapter does not work under Windows 2000
Description: On some computer systems with a recent BIOS
(later than December 2001) the wireless adapters
based on a PCI bus interface may not work properly.
Affected hardware:
* MiniPCI adapter
* PCI Swapbox adapters based on the Ti 1410 chip
* PCI Swapbox adapters based on the Ti 1225 chip

Affected Windows 2000 versions:
* MS-Windows 2000, 2000 SP1, 2000 SP2, Professional
* MS Windows 2000, 2000 SP1, 2000 SP2, Server
* MS-Windows 2000, 2000 SP1, 2000 SP2, Advanced Server

That is from Section 3.1 of the Product notes from Proxim. Which can be found here: [URL http://www.proxim.com/support/all/or...r02_readme.txt[/url]
