Orinoco cards
A quick newbie question.. From reading throught the various postings i understand that the Orinoco is the best to get.. Correct?
What is the diffrence between the gold and silver Cards? Also how can i make sure that the IBM cards are infact using the Orinoco chipset? |

chipset...
afaik not all (if any at all) ibm cards are lucent chipset... however, what i do know is that some of the ibm mini-pci cards are actiontec cards which, while fantastic cards for clients, are prism chipset and will not work with NS as of yet. best to ask or request a lucent chipset and make sure to get somebody on the phone who knows what they're talking about when you order.

one more thing...
so, i see IBM does ship orinoco cards.... yeah, i've been living under a rock down in south-bay. ;-) but anyhow, yeah, make sure you know what you're getting because like i said, i know for a fact that some of the ibm mini-pci's are prism chipset.
