Orinoco Gold and 5db Omni ...

Hi,

I want to buy a Orinoco Gold card and such a 5db Mag mount antenna from fab-corb. I know that there is a 9feet pigtail cable included but, do I need a special connector or somethingelse to get this set working ??

I´m ordering from germany, it would be very disapointing when I forgett to order a cheap connector

can someone answere the question, thx

If you're buying the Pigtail AND the antenna, then you should not need any extra connectors. Just make sure the pigtail is a n-male and the antenna uses an n-female or vise versa. It would suck to get both pieces that each had the same end

..."this unit comes complete with a N female pigtail on
9 feet of low loss LMR-240 coax."

Q : does this N female pigtail fits directly to the Orinoco Gold Card ??

(I don´t have such a card at the moment, so I have no idea with which connector the Orinoco Gold Card is supplied)

the antenna does come w/ the female end..... and this end does Not go directly into the card, you would still need an orinoco pigtail w/ an n-male end.... from the following page about half way down...

You can look @ what the "N" connectors look like on this page:
http://www.fab-corp.com/D11.htm

and see that there is no way on gods green earth that you are gonna stick a N-female adapter by itself on the end of that card.
