orinoco gold permanently soldering pigtail

I have an orinoco gold card that i use for wardriving. I also have an orinoco to n connector pigtail. My problem is that all the little tabs have broken off the orinoco side so the pigtail no longer stays in. What I want to do is just hardwire my pigtail into the card, get rid of the jack for good. I haven't been able to even get the card open to see if this feasible or not. What would be the pros and cons of this setup? Would I lose and signal strength? Also and tutorials or links on getting this thing open and soldering in the pigtail would rock.
Thanx
Ian

The "tabs" are on the pigtail's MC plug , you just need to replace that (and insert it with care in the future.) Soldering it would be difficult and you'd be likely to short the connection.

Epoxy or tape it to the card.
