ORiNOCO Gold vs Silver 11 a/b/g 8480-FC vs WD
What is the difference between the Gold and Silver Cards and also what is the difference between the WD (worldwide) and FC (FCC Compliant) card? Thanks.

Gold = 128bit WEP

Silver = 64bit WEP

FCC Compliant = Channels 1 through 11

I very much appreciate the info. I found it hard to believe that a updated card would not support 128 bit wep at a minimum so I did some research and found this:

SECURITY
802.1x support EAP – TLS, TTLS, MD5, PEAP, LEAP
Gold 152/128/64-bit WEP for 802.11a, 128/64-bit WEP for 802.11b/g
Silver 128/64-bit WEP

I guess it would have helped if I read the 8480-FC in the title. But hey at least you got up and did the reseach...
