Orinoco and *nix.
I'm looking into getting a wireless card for my laptop with an anteena. I don't need g, so 802.11b is perfectly fine. I'm looking to buy a card and antenna together. I've found some stuff on Ebay for about $70 shipped.
I've read online that packet injection only works with prism 2.x. So my question is what type of card(s) would be best to use both under linux and windows with the mazimum amount of features. This will be used for both wardriving/walking and for personal use in a home/apartment. Also, with that anteena, do I need to worry about cable loss due to the antenna cord being 5ft long? Would there be any objections to This antenna? Thanks in Advance to all these questions. I've been searching the net for this info and haven't found anything too solid to base anything off of.
