I know zilch about outdoor wireless. I want to take a common WAP-G, like a linksys or something, have it inside, and mount an antenna outside the trailer pointing, if need be directional, to a wireless webcam 250 yards away. I'm looking to do this for only a couple hundred dollars, not including the $500 webcam of course. Can anyone give me any hints on some WAPs, Antenna's, connectors, etc. that I will need to pull this off. From what I have looked at so far, I would think I would need some sort of Yagi antenna and the appropriate connector. Clear line of site of course. If anyone could give me any specifics or details on what I would need, it would be greatly appreciated. If I can find it all on CDW, that would be awesome; if not, so be it.
Thanks ![]() |
