PCB Yagi antenna
Anyone seen around plans for making a yagi antenna on PCB(printed circuit board) ?
I remember seeing a yagi like this a while ago and the guy who owned it said it was working pretty good If it's indeed working it would be a very nifty antenna to have in your car ![]() thanks |

PCB Yagi's
Hi,
PCB yagi's would be possible to make, however the substrate material will probably be lossy up at 2.45Ghz unless you use one of the expensive microwave suitable boards. However, it would be possible to mill out a yagi from a single sheet of aluminium for example. Indeed FRARS have one on the drawing board that's in production now. Check the above link from time to time and when the yagi is finished, we'll put an article on it up on the site. Regards, Paul. |

thanks, i checked out the frars site and I think I'll try that 5dB GP antenna, I also noticed people around here are quite satisfied with it
<sighs> gonna have to take that knife and cut my SMC wide open to mount a SMA adaptor ![]() Speaking of wich, anyone here modified his SMC 2632W to accomodate an external antenna? I saw some plans at http://www.guerrilla.net on this matter and I'm curious if anyone did that thanks |

Lucent/Telex PCB Yagi
there's enough detail in the photos in this link
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/f...ive_or_pdf=pdf to build it. if anyone decides to make one, let us know how well it works.
