dragin33 Registered Member Join Date: Aug 2002 Posts: 4	Pharos GPS Has anyone gotten a Pharos GPS (normally made for Win CE devices) to work with a laptop? I have one of these devices and i can't get any data from it. What i'm doing is taking the GPS (which has a male end Serial adapter) and plugging it into a f/f gender changer and then plugging that into my serial port. I don't know if that would prevent data throughput because serial is only single-directional. I tried using several apps (bot NMEA 1/2 compliant and i also made sure that all the port settings like speed are set exactly as specified on the pharos website FAQs. All of the apps i tried couldn't get any data from it. I even tried using hyperterminal to connect to the serial port so that i could try and read any data that was coming through - i got nothing. If you have your Pharos gps working with a laptop please help!
