"PRISM GT" Network Analyzer
Hi to all, I'm new to wifi and I'd like to play a bit with it...
I've just owned a notebook with an wifi card with Prism GT chip and almost all the network analyzers doesn't have the support for this kind of chip card !
Can you suggest a software which has this card supported?
Please don't say LinkFerret cause it says to work with this but it doesn't have any driver for this chip!

Don't play with it.. Haven't your mom told you that if you play to much with it, you go blind ?

As for your other questions, try a search on Prism GT...
As long as you can capture with the card, Ethereal should be able to analyze the dumps.. Thats under *nix, but you haven't stated which OS you are interested in.

Dual boot or a live version of linux on a CD, or get a cheep hunk of junk laptop that you can install linux on.

Mmh there's only this drastical solution?
I've just bought this notebook and I'm absolutely not familiar with linux...Iìd like not to use it, there are no ways for windows?
Anyway a live version would be ok if it doesn't require modifications of the hard drive...which do you suggest me to use?(look that I'll probably ask many other things cause I've never worked on linux

I'm downloading Knoppix, is it ok?
Will my wireless card be recognized automatically?
I hope I will be able to use Ethereal..otherwise I'll return asking, thanks again for now
