So my friend gives me an Aironet PCI adapter with a Dell 4800LT card in it... I slap it in my machine, install the aironet software, configure everything (including WEP), and I can't ping the AP... i turn off WEP, and it works totally fine. I've setup quite a few AP's and wireless cards, but never a Cisco product. Is there something glaringly obvious that I'm doing wrong?
EDIT: also, when I run the troubleshooter, it says everything is configured correctly, but it cannot send or receive messages to or from the access point. It also says something weird: "Replace your access point's IP address: 0.0.0.0 by Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 for testing connection" What is that even talking about?

Did you manually type in the WEP key or did you have the client software generate it from a passphrase?
