Problem with Lucent/proxim AP-1000 Access Ponit

Hi,

After updateing problems with my AP-1000.
i download the orginal FW from the Access Point and upload there firmware.
After this upload my AP "hangs". No more LAN connetion.

So now how fix this problem ?
Maybe with connecting via serial port ?

Have someone solution for my problem?

Greetings

Did you perform the upgrade over a wired or wireless connection?

Ah, them I'm afraid I can't help you. There must be some info somewhere about de-bricking one of these things, but, I don't know it. Sorry mate.

Do a hard reset. The new FW will show up after a few minutes. If it doesn't come back, do a factory reset, reload the FW, and then immediately following the upload, do I hard reset.

Unless you physically fry them, the ORiNOCO stuff doesn't usually turn into a brick via the FW uploads. They do get difficult sometimes. I went throught this several times with my son's RG-1000 and one AS-2000.

The hard reset is using the reset button. The factory reset is a combination of the reset button and a power cycle. Quite frankly, I forget the exact sequence. Check the manual.

The hard rest should retain any settings you have entered. The factory reset will wipe everything out.

I am sure there is a reset button on it. I am pretty almost all APs and routers have them.

Say what? Google: ORiNOCO AP-1000 manual

Download the PDF from the first link. The Reset and the Reload buttons a clearly shown in several diagrams, and Appendix C has the whole Forced Reload procedure.
