Problems w/ eTrex in Australia
I have a Garming eTrex. Worked perfectly in Canada, but now I'm in Australia the thing just won't find any Sattelites.
Is there some setting I should be changing now that I'm in a different part of the world? I already set the time for Sydney. Is it possible there are simply no sattelites? |

when you move very far away, or turn it off for a long time, the GPS needs to download new info. just leave it on for a while with a clear skyview and it'll get a fix eventually. when you go back to canada you'll go thru the same exercise.
go to the advanced skyview screen if you want to track its progress.

There's an option in the sattelite screen to tell it that you've moved and to start at a new position. There's also an option to specify your rough location. I've had to do it myself, not sith quite the same distances.
hope that helps render |
