Putting Wi-Fi on an IR device.

Hello everyone.

Is it possible to hardwire a Wi-Fi card to a device that has 2 IR LEDs and 1 IR receiver? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Infrared technology is pretty much on its way out...and it's a lot slower than WiFi in most applications, so it's probably not practical.

Here's the only infrared network item I saw on eBay (that wasn't LEDs):

The only thing harder would be to find some 10base5 stuff...though I imagine it's all still out there...somewhere.
