Arrow Question about T-Com 130 Pcmcia Card...

Unfortunately like many other wifi newbies I am on quite a low budget
Therefore I managed to find one of the rather 'cheap' pcmcia cards for an old laptop which I dug out from somewhere under my bed. The laptop is pre-97 and does not posses a Card-Bus slot and I am forced to use a standart pcmcia card. As I said before I found a card (namely the T-Com SINUS 130) and I was trying to figure out what chipset it posesses. Does anybody know? Has anybody come across such card?

Google on: T-Com "SINUS 130" chipset
OR: T Sinus 130 chipset

From the responses, it seem to be a European device, sold mainly in Germany. Most likely it is a Prism chipset or some variation (Prism2, Prism-GT) although you'll have to dig through them for a definitive answer.

I know its a German card since T-Com is a phone/ISP company (one of the major ones too if I am not mistaken). Thanks for the google tips, but you see I already googled for it and the problem with this is that it is a very old model; T-Com came out with the 154 model as well as many other ones and soo there is very very little about the older models. I had hoped somebody would have some hands-on contact with the card and could share what he knows. Thanks anyways

brilliant idea ... xD but there is one problem (sorry for not mentioning it at the beginning...) by saying 'found' I meant 'I found one in a (an online) store'... therefore its rather unlike they will allow me to open it up and send it back to them... (it appears its a final sale without warranty or anything like that)

believe me if I would have this card already in my possesion I would not hesitate to opening it up, if I were unable to determine its chipset through software compatibility and the like...

How about you stop hesitating using the shift key, and actually use it.
