Question for the Masses
I was asked in a PM about that Airlink card and its milliwatt power levels, so I got out its very limited manual and the box and looked
here is what I got from the box The spec's on it show 3.3 volt with 520 milliamp on the TX and 425 milliamp on the RX as the consumption rate Using these specs and the formula of volts x amps = wattage 3.3 x .520 amps = 1.716 watts on the TX side 3.3 x .425 amps = 1.4025 watts on the RX side. This correct? I think thats kinda HIGH on the power. I got an email out to them asking about it so when I get the feedback I will post.

This shows the Airlink as 15dBm (31.6mW) which sounds about right.

I am still waiting for them to get back to me on the TX and RX milliwatts.

got feedback from them, and they say my findings is correct... Now if the TX and RX power outputs are about 40-50% of the consumption then this is a powerful card.. even at 30-45% of the consumption.

That link shows the 3010 as a 15dBm card.. the 3025 has no listed spec there. here is a pic of the client showing signal levels Notice the signal level as -42/0 it will vary on my setup from -39 to about -48

If you look at this pdf it clearly states that the 3025 transmit power is 15dBm (OFDM) and 17dBm (CCK). Receive sensitivty is -93dBm @ 1 Mbps. |
