Can anyone with one of these open their access point and describe where the reset button connects to the PCB? I have an Addtron AWS-110 that is nearly identical to the above (use the same board) but mine has no reset switch. I see a couple solder pads that have nothing on them.
The password was set when it was installed but needs to be modified. Extra props for a picture, Thanks! Last edited by Herr Yunta : 03-07-2003 at 07:58 PM. |

I've got a couple WAP 11s...but I'm assuming you're referring to the v1.x with the USB port, right??
If so, I'll get some pics for you this weekend (next available time table for me to take apart and document).

you dont need reset to change password.
Using Atmel USB tool can be very easy to change all 3 passwords on your AP user password admin password and manufacturer password other way is to rewrite password on new firmware and flash it. |

I have updated the firmware twice and still cannot log in via SNMP. The password to go in through the USB port has not been a problem but using the Linksys management software, you can only see the associated hosts when logged in via SNMP.
I have not seen the user, admin, or manufacturer places to login. How do you get to these? |

I think you might need to set a PW with the USB utility...though make sure you're using the right firmware image with the proper management utilities. They are not all universally compatible.
What image are you using anyways?
