Setting up an adhoc and cantena
I'm a new guy, so sorry if this doubles over.
I'm setting up an adhoc network at home. I'm using a cantenna on the roof connected to a laptop in the attic. I have two wireless cards in the one in the attic to allow me to p2p from downstairs. How do i setup the attic latop to allow me to get the wireless access its receiving? Thanks for any help. |

Laptop to Repeater configuration
okay, i may be shooting in the dark here... I'm a newbie of sorts.
I;m trying to setup one of my laptops to do either one of two things... 1. use two wifi cards (orinoco gold connected to a cantenna, and a netgear... both 802.11b). I want to configure the orinoco and cantenna to grab signal and possibly share access to the netgear who will be setup adhoc to me downstairs. (this will be setup in my attic) OR 2. Is there such a thing as a wireless repeater/extender software that i could download into the upstairs laptop. Again, i may be just dreaming, but if anyone can HELP>>. i would be greatly indebted. I"M GOING CRAZY BRAINSTORMING HERE ![]() |
