Talking Sharing Multiple ADSL AP's Internet

Hi, here's what I wanna do:

Take three separate houses, with three separate AP's which connect them to ADSL lines. Each ADSL line is 2Mbit/s.

I want to connect the AP's together and effectively create a 6MBit/s wireless internet connection.

Can it be done? Even if it's not the way I've mentioned it above, can multiple ADSL connections be packed into one super-fast connection? Perhaps using some custom software to route packets to different wireless networks?

No, not the way you want. The wireless connections would not work properly with different APs simultaneously.

Yes. Google for "bonding" and "bonded" circuits. I don't know anyone doing it with ADSL circuits though. It would seem to be a waste since they're not guaranteed bandwidth like a T.

That may be possible, although it would seem that you'd loose a lot of overhead while the switching was going on.

One thing you have to remember is that the WLAN and LAN aren't the chokepoint, it's the ADSL circuit. Better to have a WLAN with roaming enabled, and bond the circuits at one physical location.

Only problem is...

Yeah, I checked bonded circuits but as you say, it only works from one physical location. See, I wanted to create a super-fast network by pooling all the neighbors connections into one via wireless...

Any ideas? Anyone?

And of course you do have neighbors permission and will not be in violation of your/their providers TOS?

Thats the easy part! My neighbors think it's a great idea, and of course, this way, the cost of the bandwitdh is effectively spread over a few households rather than me having to foot the bill for an expensive line.

On top of that, if one of them decides to move, thats just fine, whereas if we all chipped in to get an expensive line in one location, we would be screwed if someone decided to move out and we'd end up paying the extra!

But on that note, what are the options for a T1 line? The only provider that services my road is BT (obviously via their phone lines).

That depends. You may want to call your local telco and ask them.
