Short Preamble on D-Link 614+ AP = No Orinoco Connection?
Just curious if this is expected or not, I know with my D-Link 650+ card I could connect to my AP with both long & short preamble. Got an Orinoco silver (MUCH better card, amazing range compared to the d-link, im really impressed heh) and when i set my AP (d-link 614+) to short preamble, i can't even detect it in netstumbler.

kinda concerned that my card wont stumble on other networks w/ short preamble? whats going on?

i've flashed the card to the latest (Spring 2002 I think) firmware, tried it in both a Win2k & XP laptop w/ different driver versions as well.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem, but my case is with the Dell Truemobile 1150, basically the same card to the Orinoco, I tried on 8.10 firmware.
