signal degradation
I got a few ideas from different posts on this forum and would like to do a poor man's setup. I would run into a problem running the cable from my roof since it is usb. I saw someone with a good idea that is a usb to cat5 extender here . This would solve that problem, I hope. My question is if there is any signal degradation with this and if it is feasable? Any input would be appreciated.

No personal experience with them, but I understand the extenders work very well. Be sure the model you buy does not require a power supply at the remote end.
