A Simple Question

Actually persional prefrence, but I'm looking for some solutions: I am on my 3rd pigtail for my Orinoco Gold Classic card, and its getting abit old, the tip is just ruined. I have resoldered this last one a few times now, but its a just a pain. How can I avoid the tips breaking? How do you guys keep them from bending, breaking, twisting, and mangling in your cars? Tape is a last resort, its always a pain when I dont want a pigtail hanging. Any ideas?

there are a couple methods for protecting a pigtail.

Binder clips (the big black metal ones)
Plastic binder clips for report covers

etc.

yep, but I would put a piece of tape or a larger piece of heat shrink tubing to protect the pigtail where it makes contact with the metal.

Might want to heat up the binder clip and bend it open just a little. They squeeze just a little too much for me.

spring steel used in those things won't bend very easy, heat might do the trick but it will not be great for the steel. depending on how much you heat it up.

cherry red anyone? ;-)

You have got to be kidding, or you're using MILSPEC grade office supplies.

I just use a small leatherman and needlenose pliers, or whatever I have handy.
