stumbling with an access point
I was just wondering if it was possible to use netstumbler with a laptop and an access point, instead of using a wireless pcmcia card. OK, here's the scenario - I have a decent laptop with a fast ethernet card, and blackbox Single-Port Station Adapter - it's pretty much a a wireless LAN adapter that converts any computer equipped with an ethernet interface into a wireless LAN station. Here's a link to it - Any ideas if this setup would work? Thanks!

Probably not, as NS won't see the "wireless card" drivers that it needs to talk to; only the standard ethernet card. But if you have the equipment, try it and see. You'll only loose a little time at the most. After all, NS is free.
