WET11 and what's inside
I decided to open my Linksys WET11 bridge. I was hoping to find a mini PCI module inside that I could put inside my notebook. What I found was a main board with a unlabeled PCMCIA card attached to it. There were a few markings on it, but nothing I could recogonize as a model number. I decided to take a chance and pop it into my notebook. Win XP poped up asking for drivers for a "PCMCIA 11M_WLAN_Card_v3.0". I would really like to find drivers for this thing. It has dual MMCX antenna connectors and a reported 71mw power output.
Any help would be great. |

Check out the Siemens I-Gate 11M PC card.
I found a french manual online Siemans I-Gate 11M Manual page 22 shows the PCMCIA card with the dual antenna setup. If this looks like the right card, you can get drivers at: Siemens I-Gate 11M PC Card Drivers Download Let me know how it works and what you come up with on the dual antennas... I also have a WET11. Thanks, Jay |

Hi,
It doesn't look like the Siemens. I found a picture of it at http://www.wireless-fr.org/communaut...T11%20%E0%20nu It's all in French so I can't tell what their talking about. Looks like their replacing that unknown card with a Orinoco. I'll let you know if I find anything. |

Did any come up with a solution?
I find myself in the same situation as the person in the initial post of this thread. Except that I recovered my PCMCIA WLAN card from a broken Netgear FM114P router/AP. I cannot identify the card from its FCC ID, P/N or S/N and I have come up with 3 or 4 sets of drivers by reading this and other posts.
Did anyone find drivers that work, and would they care to share? Best regards Chris |

Here are the details for the PCMCIA card I have removed from a broken down Netgear FM114P. The FCC ID is different from that posted by 'Madhatter':
FCC ID: O6M-WM300 (First character is capital letter 'O' - not zero) P/N: 9511-3300ISC5 S/N: BF270311101117 I have tried different FCC ID search engines, but to no avail. The card seemsto work using the Linksys driver (link posted by 'codegorf' earlier in this thread), but I am not 100% on this, as I only have a XP laptop with serious service pack issues to test on. Laptop can connect with wireless network, but is unable to obtain IP-adress. I am not asking for help on this , I would just like to identify the PCMCIA card.Best Regards Chris |

O6M-WM300 works for me.
Try.. Grantee code = O6M Product Code = -WM300 That card is also Prism. If you don't feel like opening a PDF you can see pictures here. Note: O6M = BroMax Communications Inc Last edited by wrzwaldo : 04-15-2005 at 07:06 AM. |
