what chipset does the xircom cwe1100 card use ?
Hi,

Does anyone know what chipset the xircom (cisco) creditcard wireless ethernet 802.11b model cwe1100 card use ?

Xircom/Cisco cards use a modified Prism chipset

No offense meant - but I'd appreciate it if you could/would list the Prism chipset apps that you've gotten to work with your Xircom card, along with the URL so that I can download them.

Here are the ones I've tried - and the error messages I got

Aerosol - couldn't find a compatible protocol driver interface
APSniff - could not find a PRISM2 compatible network card
wlanexpert - can not find the PC card WLAN

I tried APTools and can't figure out what it's supposed to do - could be my fault or the lack of compatibility, and I spent a couple of evenings exchanging noteswith the developer of aerosol before we gave up on making it work.
