drtsystems Registered Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 2	WiFi card as AP/repeater I currently have a wireless network set up in my house with a Linksys 802.11g router. I am in the process of building a waveguide cantenna (well actually waiting for my pigtail to arrive) following the instructions here . I would like to position the cantenna outside or at least by a window, which is not close to the current WiFi AP. I don't want to spend money to buy a second access point or tons of coax cable, but I have an extra computer with a WiFi and ethernet card in it. I would like to use this computer as a range extender, or something so that I can just plug my cantenna into the WiFi card. I would be willing to run ethernet cord to the computer if nessessary.
