Wifi at a distance? How?
I thought this would be the place to ask this.

My neighbor down the street from me (about 500 yards) is letting ppl use his internet connection (hes even got a sign in the front yard with warchalking symbols).

How would I go about connecting to his AP without putting an antenna on his end or modifing his hardware (I've asked if I could but he said no)?

Also I have a NetGear MA401 (PRISM 2/2.5) I had heard that there where some utilities from intersil for prism cards but I can't find them on thier site (PRISM was sold?) Also can firmware/drivers for one prism card work for another prism card?

Put a high gain directional antenna on your laptop.
And the answer to your next question, buy a card with an external antenna connector.
