Windows XP + Orinoco Gold
I'm havin a hard time gettin windows XP to work with the orinoco gold. I installed the latest windows 2k drivers, using the latest firmware installed previously. I've read something about people getting XP support with orinoco and net stumbler... but it doesnt work for me, the lights dont even go on.
Thanks |

still broke
Hey,
I've tried all of those suggestions, like uninstalling the software and the drivers, and reinstalling them, but it still doesnt work. I have no clue whats up, because the lights aren't even on! hmm, It's an Avaya gold card, if that matters, but it worked on W2k perfectly. Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Malamute5 PS- there is a part on the practically networked page about you having to reinstall XP if you do something about the drivers, Im not quite sure about that; basically do I have to reinstall XP because I used updated w2k drivers from avaya? |

Windows XP
Windows XP has a great little setting called a system restore (improving upon ME), anytime you install a new driver or any software a system restore point is made. It is made so in the event you install a driver that screws up your computer you can just restore it to a previous setting. This is something that is very useful and may work with your situation rather than reinstalling your whole OS.
