I was wondering if anyone has used this card sucessfully with netstumbler.. i havent had any luck getting it to even find the card. i guess thats what i get for a card i spend $20 on off of ebay but im wondering if there is some kind of patch or hax i can do to get it to work... im soo tired of using the software that came with the card and having to manually refresh.. and not be able to log my findings.

Save your Pennies.......

You can get a classic gold card off Ebay for $50 or less....
No need to modify SW, No probs. with NS and every other
wireless tool.

And don't get a proxim card, yes it says orinoco but they don't
work and are total crap when it comes to sniffing/NS...

You could afford a $20 TURD but not another 20-30 for the Orinoco? I got my Classic off ebay for $35. You know if quit buying all them condoms for water balloons you would have plenty of cash for the supported hardware.

Hax away fool...

Hell, you can get a silver even cheaper than a gold on eBay. It doesn't HAVE to be gold to work with Netstumbler.

Apparently you're not to good at detecting sarcasm...anyway, a 'magmount' is a type of antenna used for stumbling.

Well, I prefer to think of it as WarEngineering in a field-expedient manner.

You stick it on the laptop, right behind the monitor. It's the best place to pick up wireless transmissions.

No, no, no...that's a 'monitor-mount'. Pay attention.
