Is it safe to connect multiple amps to one antenna. I have two one watt amps with a self made parabolic dish antenna.

I like to strive for power.

I have a ubiquiti wifi card that has two external jacks. I am figuring out the external antenna don't combine for one powerful antenna for the card which I think it will pick up interference by just finding more access points.

so basically what i have done is taken my two 1 watt amps and hooked them to one antenna. I am picking up less APs but i can beam in better on one at a time.

also is it save to hook maybe even 5 amps. I will do more testing on this later the amps seem to be working fine now i connected them with a barrel but was just wondering how safe this practice is.

Seems like a pretty good way to sterilize yourself.

Sounds good too me.

Make sure you point the whole rig at your crotch first and count to at least 1000. That way you will sterilize yourself and prevent any of your offspring from consuming oxygen that the rest of us need.

...and exactly what did you use to tie two amps into one antenna?

i have a barrel n type adapter that connects both the amps together. I am just experimenting. I can tell there is some gain off doing this I just do not want to damage my hardware.

If you've connected it the way you've said, the damage is already done.

You really might want to do more research before you do such things.

I think connecting it directly to his balls would be even more effective.

You are ignorant to the point that you are dangerous to yourself and others. You REALLY need to understand what you're doing both with RF and legally before you "strive for power."

That kind of power level used with a parabolic antenna is DANGEROUS. Not only that, but that kind of setup is also illegal as hell. If you want to cause physical damage to your body, endanger others in the vicinity, as well as face over $10k worth of FCC fines, then continue to use that setup.

No, 5 Watts is NOT safe. Not for the equipment and certainly not for you. You MUST understand what you are doing with RF energy before you proceed any further. To do anything else is, quite literally, criminally stupid.

Connecting two 1 watt wi-fi amps in series is a good way to burn up the amps...Those amps were not designed to handle a 1 watt input..
