Cabletron/Enterasys Roamabout not being supported?

Postby attica » Thu Dec 18, 2003 7:47 pm

Hi all - trying out Netstumbler for the first time in ages (mostly a kismet user).

Running Windows 2K, loaded latest version of Netstumbler, and am trying to use my Enterasys Roamabout card, which the FAQ says is supported.

However, when I start NS, it says "no wireless card found" and when I check the adapter list, it shows the Roamabout, but it is greyed out, but says:

Cabletron 802.11blahblah Wavelan (Unsupported).

I could swear that this was the same card I used to use, did something change? Do I need a firmware change?

Searched the forums, but only found the statements in the FAQ about it being a supported card.

Tia.

Nice. Downloaded the Enterasys driver from http://www.enterasys.com/software/RoamAbout/

and it's working like a champ.

Thanks!!

Which one works or do all of them work?

1. Enterasys RoamAbout Wireless High-Rate PC Card
2. Enterasys RoamAbout 128 bit Encypt PC Card (World Card)
3. Enterasys RoamAbout Wireless High-Rate PC Card

Also. Will this work with NS plus on of the above cards?
1. Enterasys RoamAbout PCI Adapter Card
